Reiki draws upon the use of Life Force energy (the energy within and around us) to promote healing and deep relaxation in the body. During a Reiki session you will remain fully-clothed and lay on a massage table while the practitioner uses specific hands-on positioning to encourage deep relaxation and harmonization of energy. Reiki can also be practiced with a “hands-off” approach for those who prefer not to be touched.
all above sessions can be done while clothed, utilizing a massage table, or chair

These shorter sessions are great for addressing a single area of the body for whatever your goal may be- relaxation, myofascial therapy, a little bit of both.
This time frame is not typically sufficient for full body sessions but rather more in depth work of key areas of concern.
Somato Myofascial Therapy:
Based on the clinical CORE Myofascial Therapy technique, this massage treatment is effective in unraveling the belt-like system of myofascia which wraps the whole body. You may be asked to coordinate small, simple movements throughout the session in coordination with your breath to anchor your mind and stimulate your body’s relaxation response. There will also be assisted joint mobility and Trager® work to further release adhesions both superficial and deep, as well as unconscious holding patterns. Expect to wear some clothing during these sessions like running shorts and a loose tank top for male presenting people (or no top) or a bra/chest covering that clasps/unclasps in the back for female presenting people, as well as running shorts or other similar loose shorts.
75 - 90 Minutes / $150 | 95 - 120 Minutes / $200
Your comfort is a main priority because if you are comfortable, you are much more likely to relax and benefit from the session. You will either be undressed and draped appropriately with linens provided or keep your clothing on. Some treatments and techniques require that clothing remain on or you can choose this option if you feel more comfortable. This is something you can also discuss with Susan to create the best scenario to achieve your goals for the session. Please do not wear perfume or body care products with strong scents.
