More About Brent

Brent’s introduction to yoga began in the Spring of 2010. He was seeking relief from pain and tightness after a car accident when a friend recommended a Yin Yoga class. The physical practice of yoga offered the soothing comfort he was longing for and he was instantly transformed by the mental health and mindfulness benefits. Brent developed a daily practice over the next few years and earned his certification through the Yoga Loft of Bethlehem. Brent currently holds a 200hr RYT through the Yoga Alliance.  He is currently training to become a certified Trager practitioner.

Brent has been a yoga & mindfulness teacher for the past nine years, and an educator for the past twenty. His teachings create a space where students can notice their true self through relaxation and a focus on the present moment.  He is currently the health and wellness director for the Phillipsburg School District.  He has worked with youth in the juvenile justice system through the Shanthi Project with a focus on trauma informed education.

Brent is also a bodywork practitioner, who focuses on creating a meditative and calm atmosphere for all his patients. His unique approach assists those with chronic pain or stress, helping them to feel length and ease throughout the entire body. The sessions will promote more flexibility, stability, and a greater body awareness by softly releasing habitual holding patterns in the mind and body. You will depart from each session with some essential tools to enhance performance in your daily activities. Brent works to connect with your nervous system, to help promote a feeling of relaxed awareness.

Brent lives in New Jersey with his wife, Heather, and son, Jackson.  He enjoys spending time in nature, hiking, playing golf, and relaxing with friends and family.
